Corey Purcell

Having been introduced to Irish culture at a very young age, Corey quickly grew to love the Irish music and dance which surrounded him. Advancing rapidly through the ranks of the competitive Irish dancing scene, Corey soon found himself on the National, then World stage of competition. After competing for 14 years, and discovering that he preferred his own artistic and rhythmic approach to the strict form required by the judges, Corey transitioned from competitions to stage productions and performance. He now dances with several notable bands including the Irish super-group Danú. Corey’s musical talents began developing when he was 16, and he was soon studying under 7 time All Ireland Champion John Whelan, and began honing his technique under John's tutelage. Corey found his true calling in traditional Irish music, and rapidly branched into other instruments including cittern, guitar, bodhran, and voice.

O'Grady-Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance

The O'Grady-Quinlan Academy, founded in January 2005, represents an exciting merger between the Lehigh Valley's two established and successful Irish dance schools: the Maureen O'Grady School of Irish Dance, and the Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance. With over two decades of experience, you are sure to get the best Irish dance experience in the Lehigh Valley. O’Grady Quinlan has built solid and lasting ties in the Lehigh Valley and Irish Dance communities across the world. The combined strengths of Maureen and Colleen today offer students in Eastern PA and Western NJ with unparalleled Irish dance experience, expertise, resources and possibilities. O'Grady Quinlan is proud to be the only certified school in the Lehigh Valley that is registered with An Comisiun le Rinci Gaelacha.  An Comisiun is the largest and most recognized Irish Dance Organization in the world and is home to dancers such as American born Michael Flatley, Jean Butler and many Riverdance and Lord of the Dance Troupe Members.

The Rogue Diplomats

The Rogue Diplomats are an Irish & Folk traditional music group composed of Matthew Breiner, Brian Donnelly, and Patrick Marran. These three entertain audiences by way of classic Irish-heritage tunes as well other familiar, traditional folk songs. With a blend of three part harmony, song/storytelling, classic instruments (including Irish Bouzouki and Bodhran) and acoustic spins on the music they grew up on, the Rogues have played multiple shows in New York City, Providence RI, and PA. The Rogues were honored to have contributed to the James Joyce/ "Ulysses" focused event Bloomsday On Broadwayin 2013 at the Symphony Space music hall, a live-streaming event every year on June 16th celebrating Joyce's works and songbook. For Bloomsday 2014, they rejoined their previous Bloomsday host Paul Hecht for an intimate Joyce evening at the famed Cornelia St. Cafe. The Rogues can be seen all summer in Bethlehem, PA at McCarthy's Red Stag pub & Whiskey Bar.
